Job Title: Business Development Manager Eden Scott
Description
Eden Scott's client has a requirement for a Business Development Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Actively work with Regional and country Managers, BD staff to actively seek and win Intelligent Completion and Optical / Electrical Sensing business
• Ensure that the industry as a whole is fully aware of the solutions and service capabilities. With Regional Manager and Houston ensure marketing literature fits the go-forward need.
• Take the lead role (Major Client Account Management) in development of Business Opportunities, within the group and have a detailed Technical and Commercial knowledge of the designated product line. – Client account with Indigenous Regional Clients and other Operators
• Define with Team, Manager. Region VP and Product Line Managers tactical technical and Commercial go forward plans and forward strategy. Help define Yearly Budget targets.
• Development and growth of market share by targeting key projects, the project decision makers and senior engineering staff, and convert through technical and commercial work to purchase orders.
• Would be a benefit to understand the Intelligent Completion Business especially in relation to Completion equipment, DTS, Flowmeters and Pressure Gauge Data Analysis. Knowledge of Subsea Instrumentation also adds value
• Contribute to the preparation and compilation of the commercial content of documents relating to pre-qualifications, quotations and tenders in readiness for timely submission in an accurate and professionally presented manner. This will be carried out in conjunction with others in Aberdeen and Houston.
• Provide leadership of Client opportunities to other members of BD/Sales Team ensure common purpose and help direct the team to ensure the objectives of the Client projects are met.
• Monitor and report on competitor and operator activity.
• Compile business development reports on a ‘as-required’ basis to Manager
• Gather information for, and pro-actively contribute to, the processes of business planning and complying the annual budget.
• Ensure with Manager that sufficient resources are available to allow full and proper implementation of the key objective.
• Be comfortable in travelling to and working with Clients in Africa, CIS, Europe Region (Primary focus) under Safety Guidelines
• Contribute directly to Quality Management and HSE systems by playing a pro-active role in any forward needs.
• As required contribute to various Sales / Marketing events and be prepared to travel to client premises for high level presentations and discussions.
• Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these.
ADDITIONAL RELEVANT INFORMATION ABOUT JOB
• Work in Company and Client offices in locations throughout Europe, Africa and Russia.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
• Must have completed tertiary education in a Technical subject, but ideally should have a Degree in Engineering / Petroleum Engineering or similar Petro-Chem relevant technical subject.
Preferred
• 2nd Degree in Marketing / Business Management
EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCE
Essential
• Previous experience in Completions, Optimisation / Monitoring Business, ideally which should have been in a Technical system capacity, or as a minimum have a strong background in the marketing sector of this Technology.
• Should have existing Oilfield Client relationships.
• Should have a demonstrated knowledge of Monitoring or Controls and a good understanding of oilfield infrastructure.
• Holder of a valid UK or European driving licence.
