Our client is known for developing new and better technology that solves everyday problems. They’re known best for their vacuum cleaners, which lead the market in the UK, Europe, Japan and the USA. More recently, they’ve developed new hand dryer technology, a desk fan without buffeting blades and a digital motor that spins 104,000 times a minute. But this is only the start. As part of future growth plans, they’re now looking to recruit a Compliance Engineer.

Working as part of the Global Compliance Team, as a Compliance Engineer, you will provide support, expertise and advice to the business regarding selling within foreign countries. You will work closely with the Head of Compliance to ensure that projects and products meet all applicable global standards and legislation.
Your other duties will include:
- Ensuring products are designed for compliance to relevant standards
- Acting as a source of technical expertise for global standards and legislation
- Working closely with internal and other parties to deliver certifications
- Ensuring compliance activities run smoothly using effective planning and reporting
- Developing new compliance processes and providing expert training and guidance
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Experience in a compliance engineering role, preferably within high volume manufacturing
- Experience of compliance standards and legislation, including interpreting technical documents and providing design guidance
- A proven track record of working with third party certification bodies and managing technical submissions
