Our client is the leading developer of mathematical computing software for engineers and scientists. Founded in 1984, they employ 2200 people in 15 countries, with headquarters in Massachusetts, U.S.A. They are now seeking a Pre-Sales / Application Support Engineer to join their team.

As a Pre-Sales / Application Support Engineer, you will provide in-depth technical support and pre-sales guidance to customers who are seeking to apply our client’s products within their organisation. You will work with an account manager to understand and synthesise customer requirements and explain the features and demonstrate the capabilities of the products in-line with the customer’s needs.



You will prepare and deliver product presentations to customers and prospects, additionally developing demonstration programs, application examples and simulation models. This will require you to assist customers in the use of MATLAB software, Simulink or Stateflow and physical modelling tools to solve problems.



To be considered for this role, you must have:



- Experience with MATLAB or Simulink

- A proven track record of mathematical modelling and simulation of real-world physical systems

- Experience of using engineering tools, such as ADAMS, AMESim, Modelica, PSPICE, Easy 5 or physical modelling tools

- Knowledge of one of the following engineering disciplines: mechanical, electrical, electronic or hydraulic

- A first-class degree in engineering, physics or another related discipline

- A PhD



As a Pre-Sales / Application Support Engineer, you must have excellent presentation and communication skills both written and verbal. You must also display a willingness to learn and develop technically.
