Field Service Engineer - M&E (Diesel Engines, Hydraulics)
Essex (field/depot based, covering London and South East)
£24,500 plus neg
Our client offers one of the most extensive ranges of powered access equipment, serving the construction and industrial sectors. A unique opportunity has now arisen for a Field Service Engineer to play a key role.
If you’re a service engineer with a mechanical and electrical engineering background looking to join the 2nd biggest independent company in their field in the UK – then this is the role for you.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing and maintaining our client’s machines at both the depot and customer sites across the South and South West.
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will support the effective running of the depot workshop. This will include repairing machines, accurately completing all relevant paper work, maintaining stock levels and ensuring the cleanliness of the workshop.
Your other duties will include:
- carrying out pre-delivery inspections, routine maintenance, servicing and LOLER inspections of machines
- attending breakdowns and diagnosing faults
- ensuring there are no defects likely to affect the safe working of a machine
- handing over machines to customers
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- mechanical and electrical engineering experience
- experience of working with diesel engines
- hydraulics experience
Additionally, as a Field Service Engineer, you must have an organised proactive approach. A keen attention to detail is also key.
