Eden Scott’s retained client is a world leader in project management, engineering and construction for the Oil & Gas and energy industry. The company is active across all continents and has state-of-the-art industrial assets including an operational fleet of specialized vessels for pipeline installation, subsea construction and subsea cable installation. Due to major planned investment and expansion within the global offshore wind sector, an excellent opportunity is available for a Project Manager to be based in their Centre of Excellence for Renewable Energy in Aberdeen or in the Central Belt of Scotland.
The Role
• Management of all aspects of the project – onshore and offshore.
• Ensure compliance with company Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policies, procedures and reporting requirements.
• Meet or exceed agreed completion dates and client specific deliverables.
• Financial management and contractual control of projects, in line with company standards and procedures.
• Ensure that all material risks in tenders or projects are identified, assessed & recorded in the RMS Project Risk register and that mitigation plans are formulated, pursued and documented in a timely manner, to a clear conclusion. This shall include regularly updating the risk status in the RMS.
• Liaise with the planning department to ensure all plans accurately reflect up to date project status.
The Person
• Qualified to HNC level or above in Engineering or Science based discipline.
• Previous project management experience i.e. Assistant Project Manager, Tendering Manager or relevant Business experience
• Proven leadership skills.
• Ability to work well within a team.
• Required to adhere to QHSE Rules on Site.
• Current Offshore Survival and Medical.
• Degree and Professional membership of recognised institute.
