Our client is the world’s leading independent supplier of specialist remotely controlled subsea vehicles and equipment. Serving the oil and gas, renewable, telecoms and military markets, they manufacture a variety of bespoke subsea equipment. An opportunity has now arisen for a Supply Chain Co-ordinator / Procurement Officer to join their team.

As a Supply Chain Co-ordinator / Procurement Officer, you will manage supplier output and all purchase order deliverables, meeting project requirements and continuously improving the supply chain performance.
Expediting purchase orders for all strategic suppliers, you will ensure materials and services are delivered on time and are of appropriate quality for the project. Ensuring continuity of supply for project materials, you will resolve any supply chain issues which may arise during the project life cycle.
Your key duties will include:
- carrying supplier visits, across all projects, managing vendor activities and purchase order milestones
- supporting supply chain development managers to facilitate the continuous improvement of vendor performance
- providing vendor status reports to project management
- assisting with the implementation of ERP systems
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- supply chain experience, gained with the following products: fabrications, hydraulic, electrical and machined components
- experience of managing vendor manufacturing activities
- solid procurement and expediting experience, within a project-based and or repeat manufacture operation
- procurement or expediting experience gained within an offshore or subsea engineering environment
- experience of procurement or auditing gained within the ISO 9001 quality system
- an MCIPS or another appropriate business qualification
As a Supply Chain Co-ordinator / Procurement Officer, you must be a confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills. A good level of computer literacy is also key.
Although not essential, any mechanical engineering qualification, above an HNC level, would be an advantage.
